Preparing the nest.
Wifey is 10 weeks pregnant. The fetus is the size of an apple right now.
Honestly, I’m a bit overwhelmed by all of this as it’s finally starting to hit me.
I’m going to be someone’s dad by May.
Holy smokes.
There’s quite a bit to do before the baby comes, and even more to balance once he or she gets here.
I’ve already made arrangements with the mothers-in-law. They’ve each agreed to stay with us for 3 days at a time, every other week.
DirectTV is at the house this very minute, installing a special satellite dish so we can get the Philipino channel. If it keeps my mother-in-law happy, it’s worth it.
I’ve also taken a lower-stress (though lower-paying) job so that I can manage this enormous change a little better.
Less than 7 months and counting.
