A Word of Gratitude
“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” ~ Marcel Proust
Our family has been showered with many well wishes since Avery’s birth for which we are truly appreciative. We would like to thank all those who came to visit us in the hospital, especially Avery’s grandparents (don’t know yet what Avery will decide to call them), Uncle Joe and future aunt, Jenny who travelled more hours than they were able to visit. Also to my good, good friend Jackie and her daughter Taylor, who came to visit us in the hospital straight from the airport (they were in North Carolina for the weekend). We would also like to thank those who couldn’t visit, but left such wonderful voicemail, text and email messages for us. Of course, we can’t forget our family and friends who have expressed their joy and excitement through both sets of grandparents. Both our mothers especially have been super-wonderful at helping to spread the good news.
Not only has our family been showered with well wishes, gifts for Avery have also been coming from everywhere! Because of others’ generosity, when Avery comes home he’ll pretty much have most of what he’ll need. A lot of people have been asking us, however, if there’s anything else Avery needs. Well, since I didn’t get to have a baby shower, no one has seen the registries I’ve created at Babies “R” Us and Target so here they are. We hope this helps!
