Football Might Just Be Out
Avery and I watched my beloved Eagles lose to Green Bay in a specially disappointing game. Thanks a lot, Special Teams, for losing one that was soooo winable.
Anyway, during the game I sat and fantasized what position Avery might play when he grows up. My favorite position is running back, but I think Avery might be too tall for it. Then I thought maybe a corner or a wide receiver, but I think he’ll be too husky for those positions.
As we continued to watch, it came to me. Avery will play quarterback! He’ll be just perfect for that position as he will be just the right height with just the right bulk. I went to bed last night fantasizing about my lil’ man’s future in the NFL.
Then news of Kevin Everett’s catastrophic neck injury was broadcasted during Monday Night Football. Just like that, football for Avery is out.
My thoughts are with Kevin and his family.
