Just wanted to alert everyone that despite the inactivity, we are still very much alive :P. I’ll post new photos and news in a bit. Right now, I’m off to do wifey- and mommy-related stuff.

We in the Jones household have actually been trying to enjoy life away from the computer so updates have been few and far between. I’m trying to get caught up, so the next 4 posts are Family Fun Days written from the most recent on back.

We’ve been in our new place for a little over a week now and so far, no crazy paranormal activities. That’s a relief. My mom worried me to death in the weeks before our move saying that since the house is over 200 years old, then surely there are spirits living there. Crazy woman.
I have to admit that I was a little creeped out too, not because of ghosts or anything like that, but because the house is so darned dark and the floors are creaky. Timothy spending the night downstairs all by himself has inspired me though. What a brave cat!
There are still boxes of stuff everywhere, here and at our old house. I try to unpack a little each day, but with a baby running around (who was sick all week, by the way), it’s kinda hard to do. I suspect it’ll take me another 3 weeks to organize everything which is a bummer because I really want all of this to be over with! I feel like I’ve been spinning my wheels for weeks now and I just want to relax.
I’m sad that I haven’t been able to take photos. I simply haven’t had the time lately for one, and two, our IT setup at home is taking some time to get up and running. It’s supposed to be a nice day today, so maybe I’ll take pics.
Here’s hoping that I get to do enjoyable things today!
Ok, well, really, in terms of square footage, really we’ve moved on down. But what our new house lacks in interior size, it more than makes up for in unbelievably idyllic, private and huge outdoor space. We’re still unpacking as we speak so I can’t really write too much, but I promise to tell more and post photos soon!
By the way, all of this seems sudden, but it’s really been about a year and a half in the making. I even hinted about where we would probably like to live in the future. Well, the opportunity presented itself and so we jumped on it.

Now, not all photos have been uploaded just yet. I’m on Avery’s time and I upload when he permits me and lately, it’s all been about him. Just him. Also, Melvin took the bulk of the photos because I had Avery most of the time during the party. This has complicated the uploading process for me because it’s kind of hard organizing others’ photos.

Oh man, are we all beat! It is 10:00 pm EST here which makes it 14 hours straight that I’ve been up and working on something. Melvin is upstairs trying to get to sleep while my mom has been trying to put The Birthday Boy to sleep for the past 2 hours. Bless her heart - she must really love Avery and/or me to make that kind of sacrifice.
Anyway, I’ll post the photos tomorrow of Avery’s Birthday Bash at Siri’s in NJ. It went really well Families and friends came from everywhere to celebrate with us. It was a real grand time. Can’t wait to share pics and stories with everyone!

Melvin is adding a few enhancements to the site so things might look strange for a few weeks. I’ve asked him to redo our masthead since it’s a bit old, but I’m not sure if he can squeeze that in with everything else I’ve asked him to do. Eh, if I really have to, then I guess I can live with it for a while longer.
